Two Crows

Two crows were in our hot tub last night

I tried to shoo them away

But as everyone knows

Crows

Don’t dissuade easily

I’m pretty sure they were talking about something that might have been interesting

If you’re into that kind of thing

But when they saw my beautiful sweetie and I approaching

They started crowing and caw caw cawing

As crows do

Crows think a lot of themselves you know

So we got in and I pulled out the secret weapon

My pleasant tree

I was sure that would annoy them into leaving so sweetie and I could have our hot tub to ourselves

Selfish as that might seem

I planted my pleasant tree right where it should have worked best

Between an honest response to a fair question and the most annoying personal reveal I could think of

But you know

Crows don’t really respect polite conversation

And these crows were no exception

They kept crowing and cawing and preening

It was horrible

Even for crows

Good thing crows don’t get up early

Our hot tub is sure to be exclusively ours in the morning
