Awakened in a state of half-dreaming
Unwanted images
skulking about my muddy mind
only partially relieved
as is my bladder
The loving morning message exchange
brings me where I long to be
always there
always here
Yet the pernicious presence
albeit unconscious
attempts to interfere
and happily fails
Awareness’s due diligence
has it’s day
We share all manner
of mind and spirit
feeling and information
data for the soul
This day has only just begun
Intentional practice
now saturates my being
My attempt to capture an image
meant only for personal experience
falls short
as my reading reminds me
to let it go
be filed away
Meant for the poetic space
of another day
