the doctor said well honestly
there’s nothing where you’re telling me
that all my tests could possibly explain

at least not within my expertise
but you can have some small relief
so here’s some pills to really fog your brain

cause we can’t find the pain
no we can’t find the pain
of course it’s there
but exactly where
must be lost in your terrain

and science is never good enough
your disease it seems has called our bluff
these symptoms just keep going against the grain

well they zapped some tumors hanging round
where my pain they thought might could be found
but once again that station left the train

and though chemo kills most everything
after that hell did only bring
my broken body just more of the same

cause they can’t find the pain
no they can’t find the pain
that elusive place
has won the race
so i told them to refrain

and no became my new retort
even to their last (and they say best) resort
my future now’s no longer in their game

so now i won’t try and find the pain
no need to find the pain
i’m only gonna be
focused on quality
no more with that stress and strain

and though my life might last less longer
i’m already feeling way more stronger
and most them pills are running down the drain
