i wrote a song about change
it was full of fun
and insightful words
most cleverly arranged

my song gave voice
to current understanding of certain kinds of physics
in the parlance of our times
with randomly placed and unconventionally long phrases that twisted and turned before landing on some quite odd and even nonsequitous rhymes

but thematically
my song was also about fear
and how some very difficult decisions are made
while leaving this very important truth unsaid
that i am definitely afraid

i’m afraid of change
i’m afraid of pain
i’m afraid of the unknown

and i’m scared of how these fears relate to death
especially my own
