B: Imp… welcome back

I: Exactly! So last time I was explaining my value to this universe as an agent of obfuscation

B: Is that what you were doing?

I: Yes, I’m not surprised you didn’t really pick up on that. Anyway…

B: I just thought you bullied me into letting you say whatever you want completely unchallenged.

I: Really? Are we going to go through this again?

B: No… Imp… I’m sorry, please continue.

I: Fine… so as you may or may not be aware, most humans tend to look for patterns in everything they perceive and by doing so believe that they will derive some meaning from those patterns. It’s something they do automatically and in almost every situation

B: Yup, everything happens for a reason

I: listen to that folks, my illustrious opponent here… making my point for me.

B: I don’t get it

I: Of course not. You just can’t wrap your mind around chaos can you?

B: Why would I want to? Chaos is completely unpredictable. Nothing functions as expected, it makes no sense. But when you see how everything works and how it clearly means something. It’s, it’s…

I: Comfortable yes but that has nothing to do with why things function as they do. If you are open to it, you will learn just as much by how things do NOT function… so by being completely unsure and by sifting through the vague cloud of obscurity you experience when embracing that doubt, you see more of existence, not less

B: Not fun

I: Yea well that’s why they call me Imp and not… God

B: God’s not always fun either

I: No but She does claim to have all the answers and thus a monopoly on meaning and by extension… order

B: Good God!

I: I’m not so sure

B: Ha ha! Oops… Oh my…

I: You said it this time
